Halictus ( Placidohalictus ) varentzowi Morawitz, 1894 . Remark. There is only one syntype specimen from “Dort-kuju”. This specimen is in a bed condition and is not suitable for the lectotype designation. Other syntype specimen (from “Cheirabad”) have been not found in ZISP. Distribution. Central Asia, Afghanistan ( Ebmer 1974 ). The record of the species from eastern China ( Hebei Province ) by Niu et al . 2004: 665 are based on misidentification (see Pesenko 2006: 55 ).
