Comment: this name is a junior homonym of Chaetosomatidae Claus, 1872 (type genus Chaetosoma Claparede , 1863, which is a junior homonym of Chaetosoma Westwood, 1851) in Nematoda; the nematode family-group name is permanently invalid (Art. 39) because it is based on a junior homonym, the valid name for this nematode family is Draconematidae Filipjev, 1918; furthermore, the type genus of Chaetosomatidae Crowson is a junior homonym of Chaetosoma Chevrolat, 1843 in Cerambycidae ; an application was recently submitted by Bousquet and Bouchard (2010) to suppress Chaetosoma Chevrolat, 1843 for the Principles of Priority and Homonymy and Chaetosomatidae Claus, 1872 for the Principle of Priority, therefore conserving the names Chaetosomatidae Crowson and Chaetosoma Westwood (see Appendix 6).
