Kentucky collections were from sites on the shores of the Ohio River ( Interior Plateau and Mississippi Alluvial Plain; Map 098). Kentucky counties: Carroll (1), Fulton (2) Years: 2002 (1), 2003 (1), 2021 (1) Months: September (3) Collections (3 records, 3 specimens ): CMNH (2), iNat (1) Collection methods: nr Larval host plants: Amorpha fruticosa ( Rice 1989 ) Adult flower hosts: Eutrochium and Solidago ( Bousquet et al. 2017 ) Comments: Its larval host plant is a shrub that grows on the banks and islands of larger rivers. Based on collections made by EGC in Ohio , it would not be surprising if this species occurs sporadically along the Ohio River in Kentucky wherever A. fruticosa grows and adults should be present on flowers (especially Solidago ) in September and October.
