Cymothoa parallela Otto, 1828 (by subsequent designation, see Martin et al. 2015a ). Remarks. Diagnostic characters for Ceratothoa include the contiguous and swollen antennular bases, triangular cephalon, and the elongate body (2.1-2.9 times as long as wide). Ceratothoa also has a pleotelson and pleonite 1 which are narrower than the other pleonites, and subequal uropod rami which do not extend past the pleotelson.
