Remarks.
Diagnostic characters for
Ceratothoa
include the contiguous and swollen antennular bases, triangular cephalon, and the elongate body (2.1-2.9 times as long as wide).
Ceratothoa
also has a pleotelson and pleonite 1 which are narrower than the other pleonites, and subequal uropod rami which do not extend past the pleotelson. A full diagnosis of the genus is provided by
