Distribution and Habitat
—
Stryphnodendron flavotomentosum
is known only in the Atlantic Forest domain from Western
Espírito Santo state
, municipalities of Baixo Guandu and Marilândia, where it has been collected in forested slopes and river ravines.
Conservation
—Data Deficient (DD) [AOO =
8 km
², EOO not measurable]. The species is known only from a few collections and the area where it occurs is considered very poorly collected. However, recent collecting efforts have revealed populations of several taxa previously known from limited herbarium samples, and it is possible that intensive field work might increment the available sampling of
S. flavotomentosum
and broaden its current distribution.
