Sculpture
: disk of clypeus with moderately dense fine to medium sized punctures, and with more sparse less conspicuous larger ones, interstices very shining, area close to ventral margin reticulate and shining with few large punctures; upper part of interantennal area and frons dull with dense medium sized punctures; mesopleuron with not very dense small punctures, and with still more sparse larger punctures, interstices shining.

: body covered by appressed silvery pubescence, particularly dense and shining on the clypeus; eyes with very short inconspicuous hairs.

Etymology
the specific epithet
acreanus
is a reference to the

locality, situated in the
Brazilian

.
Remarks
This new species only known from the
holotype
differs from
M. metathoracicus
in the lower pronotal carina, and greater convexity and narrower apex of the clypeus.
