Taxonomic notes

Lycianthes anomala
is an epiphytic vine or shrub with dendritic trichomes and purple, stellate corollas. Traditionally, it has been treated as a Mexican endemic (known from the states of
Veracruz
and
Oaxaca
), but it may also occur in Central America (
Reyes Cornejo 2015
,
Villaseñor 2016
).
