This species was recently described from Al Soudah ( Asir Province ) at an altitude range of 2800–3050 m . Al Soudah is located 3 km north of the GRNR , where the dominant plant vegetation is African pencil cedar. In GRNR , the adults were collected from the Opuntia ficus-indica community at lower altitude ( 1614 m ) of the nature reserve and in the African pencil cedar forest at higher altitude in the north of the reserve ( 2717 m ) .
