The distribution of this species extends into Sub-Saharan Africa (AO, BW, CV, DJ, MG, SC, SO, TZ, ZA ( Kataev 2014 )) and Arabian Peninsula (AE, IQ, OM, SA, YE). Life forms and Remarks MSCD species. Basilewsky (1979) reported I . (as Egaploa ) crenulata Dejean, 1829 from Bahara (Jeddah, Makkah Province ). The actual distribution of I. ( Egaploa ) crenulata seems to be restricted only to West Africa ( Kataev 1997 , 2014 ). Perhaps the record of Basilewsky (1979) pertains to I. fulvipes fulvipes . In the GRNR, one adult specimen was collected from the Opuntia ficus-indica community.
