Krameria ixine
Linnaeus
,
Systema Naturae
, ed. 10, 2
: 899. 1759
.
["Habitat in Cumana Americae."] Sp. Pl., ed. 2, 1: 177 (1762). RCN: 1004.
Neotype
(Simpson,
Fl. Neotropica
49: 81. 1989): Venezuela. Sucre, 18km SE of
Cumana
on the road to Cumanocoa, 22 Dec 1976,
Simpson 8504
(BM;
iso-
NY, TEX, US).
Current name:
Krameria ixine
L.
(
Krameriaceae
).
Note:
This is the
generitype
of
Krameria
Loefl.
(
Iter Hisp.
: 195. 1758). Although some authors (e.g. Simpson in
Fl. Neotropica
49: 81. 1989) have regarded the binomial as dating from 1758, it seems clear that "Ixine Loefl." is there intended as a generic synonym of
Krameria
, rather than as a specific epithet to be combined with it.
