Etymology.
The name refers to reddish setae on leg segments, male cymbium and over the heart on the dorsum of the abdomen.
Diagnosis.
Fairly small and superficially like
Yamangalea frewana
, but with PME on more prominent tubercle and directed forward. The genitalia are distinctive (
Figs 55, 60
).
Description.
Male

). Carapace length 1.8; abdomen length 1.9. Chelicerae: two promarginal and three retromarginal teeth. Palpus (
Figs 55–57
): embolus short and spiralled, hidden behind and nestled within a short sclerotized conductor. Median apophysis long and concave. Tibia of first leg with three pairs of ventral macrosetae; first metatarsus with three pairs. Carapace high, with posterior eyes on tubercles. PME large, angled diagonally forward. Intercheliceral sclerite not enlarged into a visible horn. Colour (

): Carapace dark brown with a serious of lateral pale spots just above marginal pale band. In alcohol, whitish digestive diverticula prominently visible through ocular quadrangle and on clypeus. Palp with white hairs laterally, red medially. Red recumbent setae around eyes, over heart, on distal portions of femora. Tibia and metatarsus of first leg distinctly darker than other segments. Anterior spinnerets swollen and black, as if an ornament.

Natural history.
Found in the same forest as
Yamangalea frewana
,
Tabuina rufa
was found by beating dead branches and suspended leaf litter.
