Remarks
. The present material is the first record of
Alpheus thomasi
for the Brazilian states of Ceará and Rio Grande do Norte. This colourful snapping shrimp, easily identifiable in the field by its diagnostic colour pattern (

), appears to be relatively widespread in
Brazil
, although localised and not very common.
