G. murcidium is linked to places with high levels of humidity ( Nentwig et al. 2021 ). Indeed, the environment where we collected the specimen is characterized by a superficial aquifer allowing the formation of temporary ponds in rainy months. Distribution. Spain , France , Algeria , Tunisia . Comments. The genus is here recorded for the first time in Italy . The prosoma of the male is illustrated in Fig. 4.
