Ixodes confusus Roberts, 1960 . An Australasian species, adults of which have been found on Diprotodontia : Macropodidae , Artiodactyla : Bovidae , and Perissodactyla : Equidae . The undescribed nymph was collected from an unknown bird. Ixodes confusus is a very rare parasite of humans.
