Taxonomical remark.
The short description given by
Schwenke (1999: 86)
is misleading.
Horstmann (2006: 1473– 1476)
gave a detailed description of this species. The females resemble
M. semirufus
Holmgren, 1860
, but differ by the reddish or brownish face; very fine and scattered punctures on ventral mesopleuron and partly reddishbrown suffusion on mesopleuron.
