Holotype . ♂ , BRAZIL : Bahia : Itabuna , 4.vi.1971 , J.A. Winder , on cocoa plantation litter (not examined). The specimen has not yet been returned to the MZSP, so was unavailable for study. Species recognition. The identity of this species is difficult to establish without seeing the holotype , but based on the drawing of the hind femur in the original description ( Fig. 271 ), this does not seem to be the same as any of our species. Distribution. Known only from the type locality.
