To these uniquely shared characters we added the following: (3) the “mesal plate” is actually an internal ridge of an inferior appendage, extending from the apicodorsal end of the appendage to its mesal base, the apicodorsal portion fringed with 2–8 stout setae (= apical setae of mesal plate) and arranged in a row when there are more than three setae, the basal portion produced in a finger-shaped process (= digitate process of mesal plate) and (4) the apices of the ventromesal processes of the inferior appendages are densely covered with fine, black teeth.
