Remarks
. This species was described based on a male from a
Serinus mozambicus
that died in Antwerp Zoo (
Belgium
), originating from Central Africa (
Fain 1972
). Later on, it was redescribed by Fain
et al
. (1999). It was also recorded on the
type
host from an unknown locality and incorrectly identified as
H. holopus
(
Moss 1979
)
.
