Description
(female).
Rostrum
acute, apex blunt.
Interantennal lobes
broad, truncate with equal-sized rounded corners.
Accessory eyes
composed of 4 ommatidia in a curve.
Mouthparts
.
Maxilla 1 palp
with 7 subequal, pointed or minutely serrate robust setae;
outer plate
with row of 10 variously smooth, simple of bifurcate, pointed robust setae. Mouthparts otherwise normal.
Antenna 1
as long as pereonite 1–5 combined along dorsum, peduncle article 2 about three quarter length of 1, article 3 4/5 length of article 2, article 1 with single penicillate seta ventrally in posterior half and 2 dorsally,
flagellum
longer than peduncle by 1/3, of 10 articles,
assessory flagellum
of 5+ articles.
Antenna 2
as long as pereonites 1–6 and 2/3 of 7 combined along dorsum, peduncular article 4 the longest,
flagellum
of 8+ articles, articles 4–8 with single slender robust seta distally; otherwise setose.

Coxal plates
1–3 apically fringed with moderately long simple setae only, plate 4 naked, shorter than 3.
Gnathopods
1 and 2
basis
entire anterior margin with setae of varying length, posterior margin similar but less densely covered,
carpus
on both with scattered setae on anterior margin, with 10–12 groups of unequally long setae along posterior margin of carpus,
propodus
of
gnathopod 1
with about 7 small pectinate robust setae among many long simple setae,
gnathopod 2
with a few groups of setae of unequal length.
Pereopods 3 and 4
sparsely setose, basis as long as remaining articles combined.
Pereopods 5–6
slightly pearshaped, broadest distally, with broadly rounded posterodistal lobe, plate 5 with weakly concave posterior margin.
Pereopod 7
with posteroproximal large rounded angular lobe set off from posterior margin by concavity.
Pereopods
5–7 basis with row of long setae on medial surface.
Uropod 1 peduncle
not quite reaching end of uropod 2 peduncle,
rami
of equal length, 2/3 as long as peduncle, with a single small robust seta dorsally.
Uropod 2
outer ramus about 4/5 length of inner ramus, reaching to about posterior margin of uropod 3 peduncle.
Uropod 3
peduncle about half length of outer ramus,
rami
overreaching telson with about 1/5 their length,
outer ramus
basal article with dorsolateral row of 14–15 robust setae, ventral margin with dense felt of tiny setules, small second article with single apical robust seta,
inner ramus
reaching to about end of basal article of outer ramus, dorsolateral margin with row of long setae and 3 robust setae distally, apex with single robust seta.
Telson
. Two and half times longer than greatest width, reaching 3/4 along outer ramus of uropod 3, with row of 5 robust setae, many short and long simple setae and doublet of small plumose setae on each lobe; apex with 1 robust seta in apical hollow.
Male
. Generally as female but differing as follows:
antenna 1 flagellum
of 6 articles, article 1 with medial field of callynophore in row (possibly 2 rows) of 7 bunches of long aestetascs, articles 2–6 with single very long aestetasc (longer than in any other species in the genus),
accessory flagellum
of 3+ slender articles;
antenna 2 flagellum
of 5+ articles. Posterior expansion of
basis of pereopod 7
slightly broader.
