Diagnostic characters.
The species can be separated from other East Asian members of the genus by having antenna with 12 flagellomeres, AR c. 0.5, superior volsella triangular, inferior volsella low and triangular, and tergite IX partly semi-transparent.
Emended description.
Anal point absent (in lieu of anal point narrow triangular and pointed). The Chinese specimens are with the following measurements: Total

of profemur: 2.8. Antenna with 12 flagellomeres, AR 0.48–0.63. Tentorium 120 µm long, 15 µm wide. Palpomeres

(in µm): 17.5; 20; 30; 45; 95; palpomere 2 ellipsoid, 3 and 4 rectangular, 5 long and slender, palpomere 5/ 3: 3.2. Fore trochanter with keel. Tergite IX with semitransparent irregular structure. Gonocoxite 65–78 µm long with 2–3 long setae apically. Gonostylus 30 µm long with megaseta 8– 10 µm long. Superior volsella triangular. Inferior volsella developed, low and triangular, with many setae. Transverse sternapodeme narrow, 30–38 µm long, with weak oral projections; phallapodeme curved, 40–43 µm long. HR 2.2–2.6, HV 4.0–5.0.
