Remarks. Syntype specimens are deposited in the Museo de La Plata Entomological Collection ( Marino de Remes Lenicov et al . 2015 ). Distribution. The species is distributed in Argentina , Brazil , Paraguay , and Uruguay ( Metcalf 1963a ; Duffels & van der Laan 1985 ; Ruffinelli 1970 ; Sanborn 2011b , 2013 ; Sanborn & Heath 2014 ; Nunes et al . 2023 ). The previous report ( Uhler 1903 ) of the species in Guyana was shown to be in error ( Sanborn 2023b ). Ruffinelli (1970) reported examples from Yacaré, Rivera , Santa Rita, Cerro Largo , Durazno , and Montevideo . Ruffinelli (1970) commented that it is the most common species in Uruguay .
