A. Bonelli in 1820. Remarks .—The label attached to the base of the wooden stand is inscribed ‘ Neophema chrysogastra (Lath.) ? New Holland’ and the manuscript catalogue ‘ Euphema aurantia , Gould ?’. Salvadori (1891) described genus Neophema and stated that N. chrysogastra and N. aurantia were synonyms. The pedestal label was probably written by Salvadori himself, who was evidently unsure of the specimen’s identification.
