Micropygomyia (Coquillettimyia) oppidana (Dampf) : Galati 2003 , 33, 81, 82 (list, male and female keys). This species was known from Canada (Alberta, British Columbia ), USA (Colorado, Montana, Texas, Washington) ( Young y Perkins, 1984 ) and Mexico (Distrito Federal, Nuevo León) ( Martins et al ., 1978 ; Ibáñez-Bernal, 2003 ). Ibáñez-Bernal et al . (2006) recorded this species in the state of Veracruz, with specimens collected in El Zapotal (Municipality of Colipa). The following is a new municipality record.
