:
Panchylissus cyaneipennis
Waterhouse, 1880
(monotypy).
The only difference between
Galissus cyanopterus
Dupont
and
Panchylissus cyaneipennis
Waterhouse
, both typespecies, is the density of hairs in the metatibiae, which are densely piloses in
G. cyanopterus
and with sparse hairs in
G. a z u re u s
Monné & Martins, 1981
,
P. cyaneipennis
and
P. nigriventris
Lane, 1965
. The density of the pilosity is an insufficient character to consider
Galissus
as a different genus of
Panchylissus
and we herein propose the synonymy of
Panchylissus
with
Galissus
.
