Southern Spain ; in northern Morocco in the Riff mountains, in the south following the Middle and High Atlas up to Marrakech; in northern Algeria in the Tel-Atlas up to Algier in the east ( Figs. 27 , 29, 32). Diagnosis. Male characterized by the long lobes of the pouch of T7 gland surpassing the anterior border of T7 considerably, distinguished from subgenus Macaroblatta with in some cases similar pouches by the single spine on the left paraproct; subgenus Sulcoblatta , which also has rather long pouches, differs by having two pairs of pouches and a T6 with a gutter at the lateral margins.
