Lobo, ( INBio ). Etymology. The specific name is a noun and refers to the type locality. Diagnosis. The female of E. osaensis sp. nov. ( Fig. 5 ) resembles those of E. rothi Silva, Lise & Carico 2008 by the shape of the median field and anterior margin of the epigynum apophysis (Silva et al . 2008, p. 87, fig. 48), but can be distinguished by the presence of large accessory spermathecae ( AS ) and by the rounded head of spermathecae (HS) without distal projections ( Fig. 6 ). Description. Female ( Holotype , INBio). Total length 11.97. Carapace 7.05 long and 5.05 wide, dark brown with a median light brown band. Clypeus light brown, 0.46 high. Anterior eye row straight, 1.24 wide; posterior 2.32 wide. Eye diameters, interdistances, and median ocular quadrangle: AME 0.22, ALE 0.16, PME 0.26, PLE 0.15; AME-AME 0.22, AME-ALE 0.14, PME-PME 0.66, PME-PLE 0.50, OQA 0.56, OQP 1.22, OQH 0.68. Chelicerae dark brown, bristly; promargin and retromargin of fang furrow with three teeth equidistant and equal in size. Sternum light brown, bristly; 2.66 long, 2.79 wide. Labium light brown, slightly lighter anteriorly, 0.79 long, 1.19 wide. Legs dark brown, unmarked, relative length: IV-I-I-III, I – femur 5.98/ tibia-patella 8.91/ metatarsus 5.71/ tarsus 2.26/ total 22.86; II – 5.88/ 9.04/ 5.45/ 2.12/ 22.49; III – 5.17/ 6.91/ 4.65/ 1.72/ 18.45; IV – 6.11/ 7.98/ 6.65/ 2.66/ 23.40. Ventral pairs of macrosetae on tibiae: I-4 ; II-4 ; III-3 ; IV-3. Abdomen, 7.71 long, dorsum dark gray with three light brown median bands; bristly, with three pairs of sigilla. Venter light gray, with scattered setae. Epigynum with two lateral rounded projections on the middle field of epigynum ( Fig. 5 ). Head of spermathecae rounded with conspicuous and large accessory spermathecae ( Fig. 6 ). Male. Unknown. Distribution. Known only from the type locality in Costa Rica .
