This species can be distinguished from other Amblopusa species by the body size (about 2.5 mm ) except A . pacifica . From A . pacifica , it can be distinguished the following characteristics: pronotum slightly convex with anterolateral margin rounded ( Fig. 17C ); median lobe of aedeagus with apical lobe acute at apex in lateral view ( Fig. 18E ). Distribution. Japan : western Hokkaidô ; Canada ; USA : Alaska , the Aleutian Islands, California ( Fig. 26A ). Newly recorded from Japan .
