The nominate subspecies is widely distributed in West Africa ( Sierra Leone , Liberia , Ivory Coast , Ghana , Cameroon , Gabon ) ( Durante 2009 ; 2012 ). Long series of recently collected specimens from Sierra Leone and Liberia were found in the collection of ANHRT representing new distribution data of the species.
