Length (from base of trochanter to tip of tarsus): leg I 503, leg II 405, leg III 447, leg IV 505. Setae on genua clavate, subequal, length: I 25 , II 22, III 22 , IV 25. Remarks Adult females of this species are very similar to that of T. aotearoa Fan & Zhang, 2005 in having similar structure of peritremes, chaetotaxy of palptarsus and legs, but differ from the latter in the idiosomal setae being broadly clavate and subeuqal in length; c1 : c2 = 0.9, d1 : d2 = 1.4, e1 : e2 = 1.2, f1 : f2 = 1.0, c1 : d1 : e1 : f1 = 1.0: 1.1: 1.2: 1.2 (vs: d1 and e1 obviously longer than others).
Etymology
The specific name comes from Latin word “stipulus”, meaning stalk, in reference to
the shape of dorsal idiosomal setae.
