Distribution is limited: North Island: AK, BP. South Island: MC. Records from the NZAC show specimens have been collected from kiwifruit orchards, reared from leaf mines in Clematis rehderiana , and from Scaptomyza flava ( Diptera : Drosophilidae ) pupae on turnips.
