( Montagne Tortue , French Guiana ) REMARKS.—Males of the genus are easy to distinguish by the significant constriction of the anterior abdominal segments with segment 5 being the widest. The males also have large opercula that can be seen from the dorsal side due to the constriction of the base of the abdomen. DISTRIBUTION.—The genus has been recorded previously from French Guiana (Sanborn 2011a; 2013). This is the first record of the genus for Ecuador .
