Bark : Used in a fomentation. Leaf : Astringent. Notes. In Indo-China an infusion of the bark and leaves is used to treat fever; in India a decoction of the roots is used as an emmenagogue, and an infusion of the leaves is astringent and used to treat ophthalmia ( Khare 2007 ). The leaves have strong anti-inflamatory and analgesic properties ( Nualkaew et al. 2009 ). Reference. Perry (1980) .
