Material studied
. CANADA, Alberta, Munn Creek, 53°30’ N, 118°10’ W, spruce forest, Malaise trap 23.vii– 15.ix.1994 (1 male in PWMP).
Discussion
. The studied specimen resembles the Holarctic
Claustropyga aperta
, but differs in the lower
number of gonostylar megasetae (6 versus 9) (
Fig. 5
A) and by lacking any sign of a tooth-like lobe on the lateral margin of the tegmen (
Fig. 5
B; Hippa
et al.
2003: figs 6 c–d; Vilkamaa & Hippa 2007: figs 2 F–E). We suspect that this specimen represents an undescribed species.
