Type species. Malcus flavidipes Stål, 1859 Redescription. Body elongate. General ground color light yellowish brown to dark brown. Proximal part of head horizontal, anterior vertical. Eyes mostly sessile, situated antero-laterally. Ocelli situated on a common tubercle submedially. Antenniferous tubercle change into antennal sclerite and pre-antennal plate. Antennae long, the 1 st segment subcylindric, the 2 nd and 3 rd segments conspicuously thin, the 4 th segment fusiform. Corium narrow, lateral margin concave in the middle, apical corial angle with a conspicuous tubercle. Metathoracic wing without hamus. Peritreme of metapleural gland protruding. The abdominal laterotergites V–VII outward horizontally, lateral margin with some teeth.
