( Figs. 12 , 34–35 ) Specimens examined: Holotype : . Laos , Phongsaly Prov. , Phongsaly env., Phu Fa , h: 1450–1600 m , 27.7.2006 , leg. M. Geiser , Bergregenwald , Umgestürzter Baum ( RGCM ). Paratypes : Same data as Holotype: 27.7.2006 ( 2ex. , RGCM , 2ex. , MGCB ), 28.7.2006 ( 1ex. , RGCM ) . Length: 9–10mm ( 6 specimens ). Collecting period: July. Head: Black, glossy, anterior part of clypeus, labrum and palpi brown, posterior part of clypeus black; relatively densely distributed with fine punctation; anterior part of cranium vested with erect golden setae, posterior part with dark setae; head including eyes slightly broader than anterior width of pronotum. Antennae: Dark brown to black, vested with depressed, dark setae; antennomeres triangularly dilated from A4 or A5 onwards, A10 as long as wide. Pronotum: Red-brown to brown, apex sometimes slightly darker; surface finely and densely punctate; vested with anteriorly directed long, pale and dark, erect, setae, and shorter, pale, depressed, setae; length:width ratio 0.93:1 (broadest just behind middle). Elytra: Black, with two transverse fasciae, the anterior (black) fascia narrowly lined with yellowish depressed setae, the posterior, narrowly yellowish pigmented fascia very broadly lined with yellowish depressed setae; humeral callous present; disc deeply punctate in rows, extending towards posterior transverse fascia, diameter of punctures larger than interstices; apex densely and finely punctate; basal third and apex with erect, long, predominantly golden setae, along suture and at side margins also with shorter depressed, golden setae, middle part with posteriorly directed, short, semi-decumbent, setae, and isolated, long, erect, dark setae; length:width ratio 2.01:1. Legs: Brown, pro- and mesofemora and base of metafemora paler; with dense, pale, erect setae; tibiae without carinae. Ventral surface: Abdomen dark brown to black, thorax brown, with dense, depressed, pale setae. Aedeagus: Tip asymmetrical, tooth-like structures only indistinct at base. Distribution: Laos . Etymology: This species is dedicated to Michael Geiser, a young Cleroidea colleague and the collector of this species.
