Features for regional diagnosis Gn2 not sexually dimorphic, not asymmetrical, palmar margin sinuous, without processes. P7 basis with posteroventral angle rectangular, not projecting into acute lobe. Pleon segments with strong teeth and serrations. Ep1–3 serrated. Us segments 1,2 with teeth. T lobes acutely ending, with strong subapical robust seta (and small additional ones). Distribution Atlantic Ocean: Biscayne Bay to Dry Tortugas ; Belize , Yucatan , Mexico ( Shoemaker 1948 ; Thomas 1993 ; LeCroy 2000 ); Cuba ( Shoemaker 1948 ; Ortiz 1974 ); Puerto Rico ( LeCroy 2000 ). Ecology Rubble zone, lagoon, forereef, 1–2 m : under rocks on sandy bottoms ( Thomas, 1993 ); down to 52 m ( Thomas, 1993 ). Here down to 73 m .
