Type species: Exilipedronia sutana Williams by monotypy and original designation. Generic diagnosis (adapted and slightly modified from Williams 2004 ). Body of adult female elongate oval to broadly oval. Anal lobes well developed, each ventral surface with an anal lobe bar and lateral sclerotization. Antennae each with 6‒8 segments. Legs well developed, claw without a denticle, tarsal digitules knobbed. Anterior and posterior ostioles present. Anal ring situated at apex of abdomen, bearing 6 setae. Cerarii numbering 18 pairs, each cerarius bearing multiple conical to broadly lanceolate setae situated on a sclerotized area, often projecting or on a bulbous prominence. Dorsal setae conical to broadly lanceolate, mostly similar in shape to enlarged cerarian setae. Trilocular pores present; quinquelocular pores absent; multilocular disc-pores present on venter. Oral rim tubular ducts absent. Oral collar tubular ducts present.
