Etymology.
The name
parabelizensis
refers to the similarly between this new species and
Proprioseiopsis belizensis
(Yoshida-Shaul & Chant)
.
Remarks.
This new species is similar to
P
.
belizensis
,
P
.
ovatus
and
P
.
dominigos
.
Proprioseiopsis belizensis
differs by having reticulate dorsal and genital shields.
Proprioseiopsis ovatus
differs by having the setae j3, z2 and z4 approximately 0.7, 0.7 and 0.5 times as long, respectively, as those setae on the new species.
Proprioseiopsis dominigos
differs by having seta z2 shorter than z4. This new species belongs to
belizensis
species group of
Chant & McMurtry (2005a)
