( Fig. 26A–C ) Type series . Holotype female, Mahua stream at crossing with main road, Crocker Range, Borneo, Malaysia , 5º 45.225 N 116º 26.085 E , alt. 752 m asl, 22-ix-2012 ( RMNH ). Diagnosis . Dgl-2 with enlarged hyaline setae.Vgl–4 separated from ventral shield. Acetabula elongated, lying in a triangle. FIGURES 26A–C . Javalbia magniseta n. sp. , holotype female. A = dorsal view; B = ventral view; C = palp. Scale bars = 50 Μm. Description . Female: Colour yellowish, idiosoma 437 long and 312 wide. Dorsal shield 429 long and 263 wide, with four pairs of glandularia and one pair of setae without glandularia; dgl–2 with very large, hyaline setae (unfortunately lost during mounting). Dorsal furrow with three pairs of small glandularia platelets; only two pairs of slit organs visible. Genital plates posteriorly fused, with three pairs of elongated acetabula, lying in a triangle. Vgl–4 separated from ventral shield. Length/height of P1–P5: 18/16, 36/24, 32/22, 52/18 , 26/8. Length of I-leg- 4–6: 50, 52, 30 (till tip 50). Length of IV-leg-4–6: 70, 78, 58. Legs without swimming setae. Male : Unknown. Etymology . Named for its large dorsal setae. Remarks . Javalbia kinabaluensis n. sp . , the only species of the genus with similarly elongated acetabula (in the female sex even longer than in J. magniseta ), has the setae of dgl-2 not enlarged. Distribution. Borneo; known only from the locus typicus.
