Distribution and habitat.
Bachia didactyla
is endemic to enclaves of open vegetation in southern
Amazonia
, occurring only in
Brazil
(
Fig. 3
). It is known from the states of
Rondônia
and
Mato Grosso
. As usual for
Bachia
and other fossorial or semi-fossorial animals, information about its ecology and habitat is scarce.
Gainsbury & Colli (2003)
found two specimens in a sandy cerrado enclave.
