Host and distribution.
This species is known only from
Acanthocercus phillipsii
from
Somalia
[Berbera District, Berbera] (
Jack 1962a
).
Remarks
. Redescription of the
holotype
of
P. phillipsi
shows that five pseudanal setae are present vs. three pairs of setae
ps
in the original description (
Jack 1962a
).
This species was described by
Jack (1962a)
based on one ‘type’ specimen therefore in accordance with Article 73.1.1 of the Internatonal Code of Zoological Nomenclature (ICZN 1999, 2012) it is treated as a
holotype
.
