Chorotype. Turano-Mediterranean. Habitats. Sandy beaches, cultivations with vineyards, under Eucalyptus , maquis and phryganic formations with Sarcopoterium spinosum , Ceratonia and Pistacia , mixed forests with Pinus , Quercus and Acer , mixed Pinus forest, near ponds with Eucalyptus and Acacia , ravines with Platanus , Juniperus and Pinus , open fields with Ceratonia . Altitudinal range: 0–1900 m . Remarks. Generically quoted from Cyprus by Verhoeff (1901) under L. vosseleri , whose identity has been discussed by Eason (1983). The record under “ Archilithobius dadayi Tömösvary, 1880 ” given by Turk (1952) from Mountain Olympus (Troodos Mt.), is assigned here to this species.
