A species known only from the type series from Hadramaut .With apical margin of elytra not serrate, it is more similar to Oriental D. indicus Aubé, 1838 rather than D. aereus . However D. arabicus differs from both mentioned species in absence of postero-lateral elytral sinuation ( Fig. 27 ), deeply impressed elytral reticulation and different shape of male aedeagus ( Fig. 28 ).
