C, dorsal view. D, anterior view. Etymology. The specific name refers to the type locality. It is to be treated as a noun in apposition. Diagnosis. The species resembles C. longisetosa sp. nov. by the presence of strong sclerotized setae in the inner paturon of male chelicerae ( Fig. 52E ) but can be distinguished by the straight suprapedicelar ridge ( Figs 52G , 54G ). Females can be recognized by the shape of the internal genitalia domed with semi-circular chitinized wall area ( Fig. 54H ). Description. Male ( PBI _OON 38819). Total length: 1.67. CEPHALOTHORAX: Carapace orange-brown, broadly oval in dorsal view, pars cephalica slightly elevated in lateral view, surface of elevated portion of pars cephalica granulate, sides smooth, surface sides anteriorly granulose; lateral margin without denticles. Clypeus curved downwards in front view, high, ALE separated from edge of carapace by their radius or more, around ALE diameter. Eyes relatively large, all subequal; ALE separated by more than their diameter, PLE-PME separated by less than PME radius. Sternum orange-brown, fused to carapace, furrow wrinkled, surface smooth, microsculpture everywhere but front, anterior margin with semicircular depression in the middle half, posterior margin not extending posteriorly of coxae IV, slightly rugose at middle between coxae I and II; setae originating from surface. Mouthparts: Chelicerae, endites and labium orange-brown. Chelicerae anterior face unmodified, one pair of medial strong setae and 6-10 pairs of stout, straight and strong setae; retromargin without teeth; fangs without tooth-like projections; paturon inner margin with pairs of enlarged setae, laminate groove absent. Labium anterior margin indented at middle. Endites: anteromedian part forming a groove between serrula and the apical portion. ABDOMEN: pointed posteriorly; dorsum soft portions pale white. Pedicel scuto-pedicel region with straight scutal ridge, plumose setae dorsal and lateral of pedicel. Dorsal scutum orange-brown, punctated at setal base, middle surface slightly granulate, sides slightly granulate. Epigastric scutum: anterior spiracles secondary openings at level of epigastric furrow in an indent. Postepigastric scutum orange-brown, almost semicircular, fused to epigastric scutum, without posteriorly directed lateral apodemes, with clear seam at furrow. Spinneret scutum large. LEGS: orange-brown. GENITALIA: Epigastric region with sperm pore circular, situated in front of anterior spiracles, rebordered. Palp proximal segments orange-brown. Conductor narrowing towards end, distal tip narrow, curved and translucent; embolar tip a longer translucent tube with distal filiform embolar distal process; embolar prolateral process filiform with translucent dorsal area subdistally enlarged ( Figs 52H , 53A ̅D). Female ( PBI _OON 38821). As in male except as noted. Total length: 1.88. Mouthparts: paturon inner margin with short inter-digitating setae. GENITALIA: internal genitalia with rounded receptaculum and narrow globular appendix ( Fig. 54H ). Other material examined. None. Distribution. This species is only know from the type locality in Peru .
