by the less poorly developed fastigium of the vertex, that is a little wider than in
Poecilogramma
(

)

with 9E). In addition, the strikingly variegated colour of
Pardalota
includes more or less wide round spots, while that of
Poecilogramma
consists of colored stripes. Another character that allows to separate the two genera is the shape of cerci, that are pointed and incurved in
Pardalota
, flat or rounded in
Poecilogramma
