Paratype : 1 male , "NE India , Menghalaya, 3 km E of Tura, 500­1150 m , 23.30°N , 90.14°E , 1.­ 8. 5. 1999 , Dembický & Pacholátko leg." ( LMBC ). Diagnosis . The internal sac is similar to that of D. qinlinganus , but the upper plate is smaller and straight dorsally ( Fig. 13 ). Externally, D. holzschuhi sp. n. is reminiscent of the dark coloured species from southern China and Laos , which belong to different species groups. Description of holotype . Body medium sized, slender, black, pronotum light reddish brown, elytra red, both covered with dense red pubescence. Head with short rostrum. Eyes small, interocular distance 1.45 times maximum eye diameter. Antennae very slightly serrate, subapical antennomeres almost parallel­sided. Maxillary palpi slender. Pronotum 1.27 times wider than long. Frontal margin widely rounded, frontal angles inconspicuous, lateral margins almost straight, posterior margin weakly convex in middle. Disc with sharp longitudinal costa anteriorly. Scutellum black. Elytra slender, flat, each elytron with three longitudinal costae. Costa 1 inconspicuous in apical half. Male genitalia slender, long, both lower and upper plates of internal sac small, dorsal margin of upper plate straight basally ( Fig. 13 ). Measurements . BL 1.54 mm , WH 1.48 mm , PL 0,99 mm, PW 1.26 mm , Ediam 0.36 mm , Edist 0.53 mm . Distribution . Dilophotes holzschuhi sp. n. occurs in mountainous areas in Bhutan and in south eastern India at Bangladesh border. Etymology . The specific epithet is a patronym in honour of Carolus Holzschuh (Vienna), a collector of the holotype .
