Simulium ( Simulium ) sp. C Takaoka & Davies, 1995 Simulium ( Simulium ) sp. C Takaoka & Davies, 1995: 157–158 (Pupa). Simulium ( S .) sp. C was described from pupal exuviae collected from a stream on the southern slope of Mt. Tahan, Pahang (Takaoka and Davies, 1995). Takaoka et al. (2014h) suggested that S . sp. C is the pupa of S. ( S. ) atipornae Takaoka, Srisuka & Choochote or S. ( S. ) fuscopilosum or related species. The pupa of this species is characterized by the gill with six thread-like filaments, absence of terminal hooks, and wall-pocket-shaped cocoon with large anterolateral open spaces.
