Peru , Dip. Ancash, San Luis, laguna Huachucocha, m 4200. Examined material. HT ♂ (CAl); 47 PTT ( 35 ♂ and 12 ♀) (complete TS) (CAl, CCa, CGi, CMo, CVi, BMNH , MNHNP , MRSN , MSNM , UASM ). Note. This species is easily distinguished from the others from Cordillera Blanca ( B. huascarani and B. unistria ) by the markedly angulate hind angles of pronotum. Because of the similarities in external morphology and in male genitalia, its closest relative is probably B. unistria . Distribution. Restricted to the Dept. Ancash, within Cordillera Blanca. Habitat. All the recorded specimens (legit G. Allegro) are from high altitude ( 4,200–4,450 m a.s.l.) Andean grasslands.
