Notomastus broomensis Hartmann-Schröder, 1979 ( Fig. 2g ) Notomastus ( Clistomastus ) broomensis Hartmann-Schröder, 1979 : 141 : 326–330, pl. 1, fig. 6. Type material: * Holotype ( ZMH P-15492) , * Paratype ( ZMH P-15493) , * Paratypes (3) ( AM–W : 16–79) . Type locality: Indian Ocean , Australia , Willie Creek , wide tidal inlet, surrounded by mangroves, Broome Western Australia , –17°45’15. 8’’S, 122°120’8.6’’E. Records: Only known from the type locality. Remarks: Notomastus broomensis and N. hemipodus Hartman, 1945 , from North Carolina are very similar morphologically. Both species have the first chaetiger uniramous; tessellated epithelium is present from the first to chaetiger 6; notopodio of posterior thoracic segments located dorsally; abdominal neuropodial lobes, expanded towards dorsum; and methyl green staining pattern is the same (abdominal chaetigers stained with moderate green dorsally and ventral region with a pair of longitudinal bands running to the end of body). As a consequence, it is necessary to make a detailed revision of both species to clarify their taxonomic status.
