Description.
Female (
Fig. 52
). Bicoloured, with variable extension of black and red-ferruginous; head, major part of disc of pronotum, elytra except for humeral angles and abdomen black; rest of body including antennae and legs, reddish ferruginous (
holotype
); blackish colour reduced and few apparent on pronotum (4
paratypes
in CSI, 2
paratypes

paratype
in CPG) reddish ferruginous colour can be more extended on elytra behind humerus (2

in CSI, 1
paratype
in CPG).
Frons convex, slightly impressed at anterior margin, this moderately thickened, subarcuate; punctures dense, deep, simple, approximately of same size, with very short and shiny intervals or contiguous.
Antennae nearly two antennomere lengths short of posterior angles of pronotum, very slightly serrated from third antennomere on; second subcylindrical, 2.2× longer than wide and a little shorter than third; third-tenth conical, third shorter than fourth; fourth and following on average 2× longer than wide, last as long as penultimate, ellipsoidal.
Pronotum 1.09–1.1× wider than long, widest at middle, strongly convex; sides strongly arcuate, nearly equally narrowing forwards and backwards from middle, slightly sinuate before posterior angles, these short, truncate, not divergent; lateral margin very distinct, complete from base to anterior margin; puncturation dense, rather uniformly distributed, punctures deep, simple, approximately of same size mixed only with few, irregularly distributed and slightly a little larger punctures, with very short, shiny intervals.
Scutellum heart-shaped, as long as wide, slightly emarginate at middle of base, moderately impressed at middle, finely punctured.
Elytra 2.5× longer than pronotum and as wide, convex, ovaliform, widest at middle; striae well distinct and deeply punctured; interstriae flat to slightly convex, very finely punctured.
Claws dentate.
Bursa copulatrix sclerified as in Fig. 109, asymmetrical piece, with a circular base as in Fig. 110, furca as in Fig. 111.
Male (
Fig. 53
). Very similar to female, with a less convex body and slightly longer antennae.
Aedeagus as in Fig. 54 (length 1.0 mm).
Size. Length
7–9 mm
; width
2.3–2.9 mm
.
